Cross-Cultural Art Consulting and Empowering Artists

About Me

I am an art consultant currently based in San Francisco, dedicated to bridging cultures through art. My focus is on working with emerging and mid-career international artists, guiding them in developing their unique voices and narratives.

My approach is rooted in a listening-first philosophy, fostering trust and collaboration with my clients. I aim to create a supportive environment that highlights the individuality of each artist and their work.

Background

Bridging cultures through art, dialogue, and collaboration

I was born and raised in China, where my first artistic language was ballet rather than visual art. For many years, I trained in dance, drawn to its discipline, emotional expression, and its ability to communicate beyond words. That early practice shaped how I see. It taught me to notice subtle shifts, to trust intuition, and to understand how something can feel powerful without explanation. This way of looking still guides my work with art today.

As I grew older, my curiosity moved beyond the stage into visual art. What began as instinct became a deeper pursuit. Moving across different cities and working in galleries and cultural spaces, I became interested not only in artworks themselves, but in the relationships around them, how people connect to art, and why certain pieces stay with them.

This led me to art consulting. I am interested in the space between artwork and person, the conversations, the hesitation, the moment something clicks. In my work, I have guided collectors and clients through this process, from first encounter to acquisition, including high value works and presentations at international art fairs such as EXPO Chicago and Art Miami. I have also worked closely on how art is presented, considering placement, flow, and context so each work can be experienced in a natural and considered way.

Working with artists, collectors, and collaborators has taught me that every decision around art is both personal and layered. I approach each project with attentiveness and honesty, balancing intuition with experience, and leaving room for discovery.

Today, my work is about building relationships between people and artworks, and between different ways of seeing. I am drawn to moments where something shifts quietly and stays with you, and I try to create space for that to happen.
